Arts Building
The Gegesik Arts Building is one of the arts activity centers owned by Cirebon Regency, located in Gegesik District which is known as an area rich in local cultural and artistic traditions. This building was built as an effort by the local government to provide a suitable space for artists to express their works, as well as being a place to preserve Cirebon's diverse and unique culture. The main function of the Gegesik Arts Building is as a venue for various artistic and cultural performances, such as Cirebon mask dance, shadow puppetry, wayang golek, traditional music and contemporary arts activities. This building is often a performance location at important moments, both at local and regional levels, so its role is quite strategic in maintaining the existence of regional arts. Not only is it a performance venue, the Gegesik Arts Building also functions as an educational and coaching space for the younger generation. Through art training, workshops and coaching programs that are regularly carried out, this building encourages the growth of artistic interest and talent among children and teenagers, so that in the future they can become successors of the artistic and cultural heritage of their ancestors. The existence of this building also has a positive impact on the surrounding environment, especially in driving the creative economy and culture-based tourism sectors. Many art communities in Gegesik have had space to develop and collaborate, as well as introducing Cirebon art to a wider audience, including tourists who visit this area. Overall, the Gegesik Arts Building is not only a symbol of the existence of art in the Cirebon region, but also a concrete manifestation of the regional government's commitment to supporting the preservation of local culture. By combining the functions of education, artistic expression and cultural preservation, it is hoped that this building will continue to be the center of dynamic, creative and inspiring artistic life for the people of Cirebon.
