Poverty Crackers

Kerupuk mlarat, also known as kerupuk melarat, is a typical Cirebon cracker that is fried using sand instead of cooking oil. These crackers are made from tapioca flour, salt and garlic, and have a savory and crunchy taste. Malarat crackers are often eaten with chili sauce or as a snack.
